This vintage 1960s Jay West articulated cowboy action figure is in super shape, and appears to never have been played with (keep reading for explanation of his right arm). His moldings are all clean, great paint on his face and hair. There is still original molding flash on some of his accessories and body. His accessories are brand new, clean and shiny, and his original box is in excellent shape. Yes, he has the the impossible to find tether rope. That's about a $30 accessory if you can find it; there's a couple on feeBay as of this writing, but often times there are none available. The downside of this little cowboy is that, as with most Marx caramel-colored bodies, he obviously suffered an injury to his elbow -- and I could just shoot myself, because I did it while I was getting him ready for his shoot (no pun intended). You can of course simply replace his arm. Or, there is a complicated and time consuming epoxy compound you can get especially for this Marx plastic formulation. Or another option is to use hot glue. We made a cast out of Polymorph (moldable plastic), rather than attempting a more permanent repair, so we could leave it up to the buyer how they might want to tackle that. Or, you can write "Get Well Soon," "We Heart Jay," and otherwise adorn his cast the way you would a real cast on a kiddo. His forearm with the cast will stay on his elbow joint no problem if you want to leave it, and you can slip it right off kind of like the way the Winter Soldier's left arm comes right off. Anyway, everything else works perfectly on him, though we obviously caution against doing too much with him since the caramel body figs can be so brittle. So this is a mixed bag -- minimal to no playwear, minimal to no paint loss, minimal to no scratches, nice box with good color, and perfect accessories with the rare tether; but he's got the right arm issue. Giddy up. *Note as of 7-19-22 his elbow has been mended much more discretely with clear hot glue. Will post updated pix.
